Whiskey Sour Recipe
 
    Whiskey Sour Recipe         Makes one mixed drink     Ingredients:    2 ounces rye or whiskey (100 proof or higher)   0.75 ounce crisp lemon juice   0.5 ounce rich demerara syrup (2 sections demerara/turbinado/muscovado sugar: 1 section water)   1 egg white   1 lemon swath   1 scramble Angostura sharp flavoring   1 scramble Orange sharp flavoring   1 brandied cherry   Ice      Method:   1. Separate an egg white into a shaker tin and include bourbon, sharp flavoring, lemon juice and demerara syrup.    2. "Dry shake" (without ice) energetically to foam the mixed drink.    3. Open shaker and include ice. Shake again for a few seconds.    4. Through a tea strainer, strain into a car. Allow the beverage to settle so the froth isolates from the fluid.    5. Include specks of Angostura sharp flavoring and paint them over the surface with a mixed drink stick. Include a brandied cherry. Serve.
